Donor FAQ

Who does Regional HIV/AIDS Connection (RHAC) serve?

Our service users include thousands of people: those living with HIV/AIDS, their partners, family & friends, and those who are concerned about HIV/AIDS - anyone at risk for HIV, and anyone who provides services to people with, or at risk for, HIV. All of our services are free and confidential.

What do my fundraising dollars support?

All of our services and programs at the RHAC are completely free. Fundraising dollars help us provide effective, relevant programs and services to reach more people in need and lessen the impact of HIV in the communities we serve.

Do you subscribe to a donor bill of rights?

Yes, we have endorsed the Donor Bill of Rights developed by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Do you engage in selling or trading of donor contact lists?

No, we do not rent, sell, or trade our mailing lists or individual donor information.

What is your privacy policy?

What if I do not want to receive mail or phone calls?

Please contact us. We want to keep you informed of our activities but should you no longer wish to receive information please call or email us at privacy@hivaidsconnection.ca

Do you give a receipt for all donations?

Our standard is to issue a charitable income tax receipt for a donation of $20.00 or more. Business receipts are also available for applicable in-kind donations.
