Orange Shirt Day

September 30, 2021

Every year, we wear orange on September 30th to honour the children who survived the residential school system and to remember those who never made it home.

This day is a time to recognize the harmful and ongoing legacy of residential schools and to honour the healing journeys of survivors and their families. We affirm that every child matters—including those who are now adults and elders.

RHAC continues to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities in the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, honouring the lives and experiences of Residential School survivors, their families, and those who never made it home.
