Regional HIV/AIDS Connection (RHAC) presents The Red Scarf, a benefit concert featuring Canadian icons, The Trews.
The Red Scarf benefit concert is our major fundraiser, beginning a new tradition to host a concert event marking AIDS Awareness Week, the last week in November, leading up to World AIDS Day, December 1st.
The Red Scarf benefit concert will raise critical funds that will directly support people living with, at risk-for, or affected by HIV/AIDS. Funds raised support client services such as practical and psychosocial support; counselling; monthly support groups and social support camps; education, prevention and stigma reduction strategies; harm reduction services; referrals; transitional, respite and palliative care; as well as social support programmes and opportunities.
The Trews are one of Canada's most successful rock bands with 17 Top 10 Rock radio singles and 2 Gold-certified albums. The group has played over 1,000 shows worldwide, and supported The Rolling Stones, KISS, Guns n' Roses, and Bruce Springsteen
